Dividends Per Share (DPS) is the sum of declared cash dividends issued by a corporation for every ordinary share outstanding during a given period. DPS = Total Dividends Paid to Common Shareholders / Weighted Average Common Shares Outstanding. It is reported in the Statement of Stockholders' Equity and in EPS footnotes. DPS is the numerator of both the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPS / EPS) and Dividend Yield (DPS / Market Price Per Share).
